Lars Gardo has over forty years of experience in the Swedish industry. He has been a board member of several Swedish and foreign companies, including 3i Sweden. Lars was the CEO of the listed private equity firm Atle AB from 1993 to 2001, before it was acquired by 3i. From 1986 to 1993, he was the CEO of Axel Johnson Trade (Axtrade), listed on the Stockholm stock exchange. He was Executive Vice-President of the industrial conglomerate Hexagon AB between 1978 and 1985 and Vice-President of the investment company Kinnevik AB from 1976 to 1978. Previously he spent 3 years in Nairobi as Controller for the Agricultural Financial Corporation. Lars started his career as Analyst for Conoco Sweden and Industrikredit.
